Christopher J. McCarthy focuses his practice on the representation of local, state and national creditors in courts throughout the State of West Virginia. Mr. McCarthy was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1994 and practiced as in-house counsel for a real estate development company, in Columbus, Ohio. He was admitted to the West Virginia Bar in 1996 and practiced in the area of creditors rights for the law firm Martin & Seibert, L.C.. In 1998, Mr. McCarthy was promoted to managing attorney of the Commercial and Consumer Law Department. In 1999, Mr. McCarthy co-founded the law firm of Booth & McCarthy.

Mr. McCarthy is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, the Ohio Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

Mr. McCarthy is a member of the West Virginia State Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Harrison County Bar Association. He is a member of the Commercial Law League f America, The National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Mr. McCarthy serves as a Police Commissioner for the Bridgeport Police Department in Bridgeport, West Virginia, and is a member of the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce.

EDUCATION
Mr. McCarthy received his legal education from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he served as a member of the Moot Court Board. He graduated from the University of Dayton, with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
